R.O.A.D. Strategy: Paving the way to success

Refresh and Relevance. This year, VCS aims to expand its new services and increase its presence at industry and advocacy-related events.

Organize and Optimize. The company has started streamlining its organizational structure to refine the productivity and workflow processes of each department, resulting in more effective and rewarding campaigns.

Amplify and Advance. As a creative agency, VCS values not only the growth of the company, but also the individual team members and their creative inspirations. This year, VCS has begun exploring new AI tools and upgrading its software. Training programs, certifications, and teach-back sessions are already lined up for the rest of the year as well.

Drive and Determination. The agency aims to strengthen industry relationships, enhance its brand equity, and accomplish major milestones on its ROAD to 20 journey.

Primarily, the midyear gathering gave the VCS team a valuable opportunity to reflect on the company’s progress during the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2023. Compared to the previous year, the number of campaigns handled by the company increased exceptionally. VCS' roster of new and returning clients this year encompasses a diverse array of both esteemed local and internationally renowned companies. Among these distinguished entities are prestigious financial and real estate conglomerates that confidently lead their industries. In relation to this, the CCO’s presented data undeniably proves that VCS remains one of the most trusted creative agencies in the country by various brands.

Achieving industry relevance and championing advocacies

The VCS team also revisited their successful collaborations and participation in industry-related events. This year alone, the agency has already partnered with the Agora Youth Awards and PMA Metaverse Forum and made major contributions at the PANAta Awards

In connection with this, VCS also participated in the UP Career Assistance Program’s (UPCAP) Career Fair 2023. Moreover, the agency continuously provides internship opportunities to dedicated senior high school and college students who are passionate about learning more about the ins and outs of creative agencies.

Aside from fulfilling industry relevance, VCS emphasized championing different advocacies as another core objective. The creative agency is notable for its active promotion of DEI campaigns, particularly LGBT, neurodiversity, and economic inclusion. Standing true to its mission as a cause-driven company, VCS actively partners with various support groups. Some of VCS’ advocacy partners are the Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce and the ADHD Society of the Philippines.

During her talk at the recently concluded 45th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week, CCO Dizon also discussed subjects promoting mental wellness for a PWD audience. Furthermore, she conducted a financial literacy seminar for PWD women and women with PWD children.

Striving for continuous growth and excellence

The townhall also provided the chance to celebrate rightfully earned employee promotions and distinguish those who demonstrated meritorious performance. The company is thrilled to announce the well-deserved promotions of two remarkable individuals within the VCS family.

Albert Dela Cruz, whose strategic insight and exceptional leadership and decision-making abilities have significantly impacted his department and their projects, has been promoted to Multimedia Production Supervisor. Likewise, Noemi Borrinaga’s exemplary dedication has led her to the position of HR Manager. Her relentless commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture and nurturing the team's growth makes her an invaluable asset to the company.

Moreover, the VCS Management recognized Creative Director Jan Agulto, Senior Graphic Designers Chesca Dimalanta and Jay Quilanita, and Multimedia Specialist Nico Nunag as employees who displayed exemplary performance. Together, the whole VCS team looks forward to achieving new heights and creating a future filled with shared successes.

In relation to this, the Design Team also shared that they finished a lot of branding projects during Q2, which allowed them to flex creatively and explore new things. Furthermore, MPS dela Cruz discussed that there has been a great increase in both external and internal projects they have produced compared to the previous year. He also said that the Production Team, as well as the interns they handle, undergo various lessons from time to time to improve their techniques.

Aside from sharing the accomplishments of the Strategy and Copy department, Assoc. Creative Director Katrina Torrefranca also emphasized her team’s plan to create more innovative campaign solutions. Meanwhile, Account Executive Janelle Banalo mentioned that VCS has finished 29 projects for Q1 and Q2 of 2023 and as of July, more projects still await. She emphasized that most of the projects the team has produced are for digital channels, proving that social media now plays a fundamental role in marketing in this modern age.

With open arms and excitement, VCS also welcomed Andrea Geronimo and Catherine Espejo to its ever-growing team. Geronimo was named the new Business Development Executive. Meanwhile, Espejo serves as a Digital Content and PR Specialist under the recently formed Digital Marketing and PR department. VCS is confident that their unique perspective and fresh insights will invigorate the agency's projects and initiatives.

VCS definitely has a roster of creatives who have proven their place in the industry. However, the team is still heavily committed to mastering new skills, as growth and expansion are greatly valued at the agency. VCS is currently exploring ways to further integrate emerging creative technologies and tools into its services. With these changes, the team hopes to broaden their creative vision and successfully deliver the clients’ creative needs by improving their experience with the company.

VCS fosters an environment where everyone’s voice is heard. The midyear townhall meeting also served as an avenue for the team to share their learnings and experiences during the first half of the year.

In an industry where everything seems to be fast-paced and deadlines are tight, everyone agrees that open and effective communication is needed to ensure that each one is efficient. Time plays a crucial role in the success of any company. Thus, team members are expected to manage it well and focus on things that will contribute to the long-term success of VCS.

For the remaining months of 2023, VCS plans to continue giving its valued clients top-notch solutions to their creative needs and build a stronger bond with them as partners in promoting their brands.
