HALF A DECADE OF GROWTH: CELEBRATING AL’S JOURNEY FROM BEING AN INTERN TO SUPERVISOR
Team VCS acknowledges Multimedia Production Supervisor Albert Dela Cruz with an award.
Half a decade is a substantial stretch of time, especially in today's world of ever-shifting employment landscapes where job-hopping is the norm. Staying with a single company for five years is a true display of loyalty and dedication.
With this, Albert Dela Cruz’s fifth year at VCS truly serves as evidence of the countless hours, creative ideas, and unwavering commitment he has poured into his work over the past few years. His journey with VCS started in 2017, when he initially joined as an intern. At the time, Albert, affectionately known as Al, was an Information Technology student specializing in Digital Arts at Far Eastern University. He dedicated six months to the Production Department, where he honed his skills and made valuable contributions.
Transitioning to a full-time role

In 2018, Al took the bold step of accepting a full-time position as a Multimedia Specialist at VCS—a decision that would shape the course of his career in fascinating ways. He poured all his efforts and ideas into every project he handled. Al admitted that he doesn't have a favorite project because all of the campaigns he encountered were exciting. He truly aspired to be part of these projects because they aligned with his goals to become better at his craft.
“During my five years at VCS, I had the opportunity to work on various projects and acquire valuable skills that have greatly contributed to my professional growth,” shared Al.
Starting as an intern, he never anticipated that he would attain his present position. Through his consistent efforts and leadership, he climbed the ranks and now serves as VCS’ Multimedia Production Supervisor.
“VCS has played a significant role in my growth,” said Al. He added, “Now, I possess the knowledge of organizing tasks, overseeing projects, and effectively handling both projects, challenges, and people.”
From being an intern to taking on bigger responsibilities
Becoming a Multimedia Production Supervisor entailed taking on greater responsibilities. In spite of the increased workload following his promotion, Al adeptly adjusted to the role. He efficiently oversees the daily tasks and progress of the Production Department by conducting quality checks and approvals. Al also ensures that processes and timelines align with project needs and the team's objectives.

More importantly, Al expressed that his passion for teaching has grown more evident. He now takes pleasure in imparting knowledge and providing advice, which he gains from seminars and training sessions he undergoes. Although he enjoys sharing his experiences, Al didn't expect that he would be tasked with supervising interns.
“I was surprised and felt challenged about my ability to guide them effectively. As time has passed, I have given my best effort and gained confidence in my abilities,” said Al. He also expressed his deep gratitude for the positive feedback he received from the interns under his guidance.

He shared, “As I look to the future, one of my goals and aspirations is to be further shaped by both the experiences I gained at VCS and my desire for continuous improvement.”
