PANATA AWARDS 2023: CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE IN ADVERTISING AND MARKETING

There's nothing quite like an evening dedicated to honoring innovation, fostering collaboration, and celebrating the creativity of skilled brand builders.

VCS takes great pride in being a part of the most prestigious event for advertisers and brand builders. On September 22, 2023, the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA) hosted the PANAta Awards Night at the Seda Hotel in Bonifacio Global City.

The PANAta Awards is an annual industry gala that pays tribute to brand excellence and acknowledges outstanding contributions in the advertising and marketing domains. This event brought together a diverse array of local and multinational advertisers and brand builders who have consistently demonstrated their significance and impact within the industry.

 

Celebrating the PANAta Awards 2023 Champions

BPI’s Project Sustain won Bronze for Brand Effectiveness Through Corporate Sustainability and Brand Trust.

The Grand PANAta Brand of the Year Award for 2023, which is the highly sought-after award, is no other than RED RIBBON BAKESHOP, INC. Their advertising agency, advertising agency BBDO GUERRERO, entered the campaign titled “GIVE LOVE TODAY.”

Red Ribbon also bagged the Brand Effectiveness Through Effective Use of Marketing Channels-Integrated category and Brand Effectiveness Through Effective Use of Marketing Channels-Single Medium-BTL.

PANA also gave out two gold awards. Mountain Dew's “SCRAPBOARDS” campaign was celebrated for Brand Effectiveness Through Corporate Sustainability and Brand Trust. Furthermore, Nestlé Philippines Chuckie’s “CHUCKIE SNACK N’ PLAY” campaign was acknowledged for Brand Effectiveness through Creative Content Innovation.

McDonald’s Philippines received the most number of awards. Their "UNBRANDED MENU" campaign won silver for Brand Effectiveness through Creative Content Innovation and bronze for Brand Effectiveness Through Effective Use of Marketing Channels–Single Medium-Digital. Three other Bronze medals were for Brand Effectiveness through Business Growth- Large Enterprise for “MCSAVERS MIX & MATCH,” Brand Effectiveness through Customer Experience and Brand Effectiveness through Corporate Sustainability and Brand Trust for “MCDONALD’S M SAFE.”

Chrissy Roa of Ayala Land, Inc. was honored as the Brand Builder of the Year, an award given to the individual who embodies the core values of PANA. Meanwhile, the prestigious Brand Team of the Year accolade was presented to PJ Lhuillier. Mike R. Sena, Raymond C. Hernandez, and Eula S. Gubat also earned special recognition for this award.

 

Teamwork Stronger Than Ever

VCS is proud to be PANA's official Communication and Creative Agency partner since 2022. At the event, our Chief Creative Officer, Amrei Dizon, and Assoc. Creative Director, Kat Torrefranca, stood as the representatives of our team.

Kat said that the undeniable highlight of her evening was witnessing the work of Team VCS take the center stage amidst a distinguished audience within the Philippine advertising industry. For her, it was an exhilarating experience, serving as a testament to the relentless dedication and boundless creativity of the team.

 

Reinforcing Stronger Friendships and Collaborations

Kat shared that one of her delightful surprises has been the chance to connect with fellow creatives. Even though her interactions with them were brief, she eagerly anticipates deeply immersing herself in the advertising world, where she can absorb valuable insights from these exceptionally talented individuals.

The prospect of forming lasting friendships through this event reaffirmed her views. "It reinforced my belief that the advertising community is not just about competition but also about collaboration and mutual growth," Assoc. Creative Director Kat added.

Kat enthusiastically shared that witnessing the accomplishments of these advertisers was genuinely inspiring, as it vividly portrayed the ever-evolving landscape of advertising in the Philippines. What struck her the most was the remarkable innovation and boundless creativity exhibited by both newcomers and seasoned professionals in the field.

The energy at the event was invigorating. Kat said, “It felt like everyone present was leaving with a renewed sense of purpose and a commitment to creating ads that are not just creative but also effective in conveying meaningful messages.”
