VCS Champions Inclusion at PWDe Run 4 Fun 2025

Change begins when we move together. VCS is proud to support the PWDe Run 4 Fun 2025 in championing inclusivity and access for every Filipino.

In the Philippines, more than 1.8 million Filipinos live with disabilities, yet many continue to face barriers to equal opportunities. Only 17% of working-age PWDs are employed, and 1 in 3 children with disabilities complete basic education. Through this partnership, VCS hopes to help share their stories, highlight their strengths, and inspire a culture that welcomes everyone’s participation.

This commitment is reflected in the PWDe Run 4 Fun 2025, which brings together persons with disabilities, advocates, families, and allies under the theme “Run Today, Lead Tomorrow.” The event serves as a platform to raise awareness and strengthen support for PWDs in education, employment, and community life.

Celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The PWDe Run 4 Fun 2025 coincides with the global observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) on December 3. This year’s theme, “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” highlights the importance of creating environments where persons with disabilities can fully participate in all areas of life.

For BPFI Chairperson Josephine Palomares, inclusion means ensuring ongoing opportunities for people with disabilities to thrive:

“Inclusion in SPED means no one left behind,” Palomares said. “Children with disabilities may age out of school, but they should still have chances to work, to do things they’re good at, and to belong in their communities. True accessibility means giving PWDs space to thrive, study, and contribute. The PWDe Run brings awareness, acceptance, appreciation, and adaptation for people of all abilities.”

According to Amrei Dizon, Chief Creative Officer of Vitalstrats Creative Solutions (VCS), this partnership strengthens a shared commitment to advocacy and representation: “This is our second year supporting the PWDe Run for Fun—last year through our sister company, Introspeck—and we’re proud to stand behind events that promote access, dignity, and inclusion,” she said. “Creative initiatives like this help spark awareness and remind people that inclusion is everyone’s responsibility.”

These voices highlight the continued work needed to build a society that truly includes and uplifts persons with disabilities.

Event Details

Join us bright and early on November 30, 2025, at 4:00 AM at the UP Diliman Academic Oval. With categories from 1KM to 10KM, this event is designed for runners, joggers, and walkers of all levels.

Kit Inclusions

The Gentle Giants, a collective of artists with disabilities, crafted the hand-painted medals and custom-printed loot bags for the event. Their artistry adds a meaningful and personal touch to every runner’s experience to showcase the talent, passion, and craftsmanship of the PWD community.
