Sumo Sam aimed to market itself as an authentic Japanese restaurant that follows the traditions, methods and ways of the Japanese in creating, designing and serving its signature dishes. In order to fulfill that objective, Team VCS created a video that uses elements that are commonly associated with traditional Japanese culture, with reference to famous imagery, combining these with an epic and engaging voice and storytelling.
