Project: Ceiling Artworks for Mr. Kurosawa

Located at the new Eastwood Mall in Libis, Mr. Kurosawa is a Euro-Japanese restaurant under the Sumo Sam Group. To complete their overall theme and ambiance, the restaurant wanted various artworks related to Japanese culture and the great film director and restaurant's namesake to be installed on the ceiling of its dining areas.

#VCSTeam created these artworks by visually remixing older, existing Japanese photos to create modern, youthful, and dynamic artworks that fully complement Mr. Kurosawa's vibe. These reference materials were recontextualized, redrawn in freehand, and digitally altered to match the unique artistic dining experience that the restaurant aims to provide its customers.
